Dr. Britain

A first year medical student chronicling his process through medical school. There will be tears, there will be laughter, and above all there will be a hunter green stethoscope. I hope you enjoy my humble ramblings, and i'll be happy to answer any questions.
I AM NOT A DOCTOR, SIMPLY A STUDENT, WHO CHOSE A FUNKY NAME. ANY ACTUAL ADVICE SHOULD BE ATTAINED FROM A PROPER MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL - NOT SOME GUY ON THE INTERNET!

My thoughts on Haematology:

  1. You get to learn about the life force of all of us, its like the midiclorians of star wars or some shit - blood that is
  2. You get to learn about transfusion science, is there anything cooler then taking something from one person seperating it into its components then slapping it into something else - AND IT WORKING???
  3. Its so varied, you could deal with anaemia or lukemia, its a varied field that sees you working alongside oncologists/therapeutic radiographers.
  4. None of it is “self inflicted” i.e People who get lung cancer might smoke (I’m definitely not saying all cases are self inflicted)
  5. Low number of specialists!

I like haematology :3
